enjoy the many benefits of push ups, or press ups, as many people call them, that the Yankee soldiers do enjoy. A push up is a very good
exercise because a basic push up will not require any equipment at all. But make sure you have the following equipment- your body and the arms.
Yet another good thing with this kind of exercise is that it can be done anywhere- in the open field, in the room, on the patio- anywhere so
long as there is a hard surface.
Warm up This does not only get your muscles ready for
the exercise but also minimizes the chances of you getting an
injury. Having prior adequate exercise will, in fact enable you have
more exercises.
Get a hard surface Get a hard surface and then position
yourself. The surface should be hard enough to support your body
mass. Lest you forge, remember not to put your feet apart. Make sure
you do not place your hands on sharp pointed objects that can cause
you harm.
Clench those fists Having identified a rigid enough
surface, make two fist and have your body over them on the floor. A
cushioned surface is better coz it allows you to support your whole
body on the floor.
Raise your body This is achieved by straitening your
arms over which your entire body is resting. At this juncture; it is
assumed that the hands and the balls of your feet can ably support
your body. You should ensure that you have made a straight line from
the head to your heal.
Bring your torso down to the ground until you are able to form
90 degrees with your arms. While keeping your head facing in front,
try to tip your nose to have it point directly ahead of you. Take in
some air as you do this. Lift yourself up by making as if you are
pushing the ground way from you. While unrelentingly pushing, breathe
out hair. The power of the push comes from the shoulders and the
chest.
